  • All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!
  • Hie thee hither, That I may pour my spirits in thine ear...
  • This castle hath a pleasant seat
  • Act 1, Scene 3 : Macbeth and Banquo come upon three witches who make three prophecies regarding themselves.
  • Is this a dagger which I see before me,The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.
  • Act 1, Scene 5 : Lady Macbeth explains to Macbeth why he should slay Duncan.
  • I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?
  • Act 1, Scene 6 : King Duncan, Malcolm, Macduff, and Ross (among others) arrive at Macbeth's castle.
  • He has already been named king and has left for Scone to be crowned.
  • ... it looks like Macbeth will become king.
  • Act 2, Scene 1 : Macbeth hallucinates and envisions a ghostly dagger.
