Marcellus, Horatio, and Bernardo are on watch and the ghost of the dead King Hamlet appears again. They try to speak to it and they beg for it to speak to them but it leaves and does not speak.
King Claudius is found by young Hamlet praying and young Hamlet believes that king Claudius is asking for forgiveness for murdering the Old King Hamlet. Young Hamlet is contemplating on killing him right there on the spot but he decides not to because he believes that if he kills Claudius while he is praying that he will not get his revenge right and that he will be letting a murder go onto a more peaceful place. Young Hamlet doesn't know that Claudius' thoughts are more in a place for hell and not heaven.
Young Hamlets mother Gertrude and Lord Polonius are talking about Hamlet. When they hear that Hamlet is coming Lord Polonius hides behind this hidden mirror to where he can see what all is happening. Hamlet hears something and he has a gun in his hand and shoots at the mirror that Lord Polonius is behind. After Hamlet shoots, Lord polonius comes out behind the mirror and falls to the ground and dies.
