  • Hey Patricia! We have just arrived at our first location on this tour: The Union Station. It is located in Washington, D.C. on Massachusetts Ave.
  • Hey Dan! So where are we now?
  • It used to be one of the country's best union railroad terminals. Now it has transformed into a beautiful and large mall that has a smaller railroad terminal in the back.
  • What is the Union Station?
  • Yes! The Union Station is near the Library of Congress and the U.S. Capitol which is right behind me.
  • Are there any historic landmarks near the Union Station?
  • Construction on the Union Station began October 27, 1907 and was completed in April 1908.
  • When was the Union Station built?
  • The Union Station was designed by Daniel Burnham who was a famous architect of the time.
  • Who designed the Union Station?
  • Is the Union Station a historic landmark?
  • Yes, it was designated a historic landmark in 1964 by the District of Colombia.
