Storyboard Text

  • The first law states that an object will have inertia if not moved by a force. If it is moved by a force than it will keep moving until it is stopped.
  • The second law explains how an objects velocity will change if acted on by a force.
  • The third law states that for every action, there is a reaction.
  • Newton's First Law
  •     If I leave the puck alone, it will not move. However, if I decide to practice my slap shots, the puck will be in motion and stay in motion because of the force exerted and the lack friction on the ice.
  • Newton's Second Law
  • This is too easy to push!
  • This is too hard to push!
  • Newton's Third Law
  • Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming! What do we do we swim...
  • Newton's First Law
  • Newton's Second Law
  • The soccer ball is easier to push because it has less mass than the truck. So the kid with the ball will have more acceleration than the guy with the truck.
  • Newton's Third Law
  • In order for Dory to swim, she must use her fins to push back the water (action) which propels her forward (reaction).
