  • Father! You are wrong, and the city would also agree! I wish to never see you again!
  •
  • He is insane! I am getting away from him!
  • Creon is confused on why Haimon is not respecting him, and he thinks Haimon is being silly with his decisions. Haimon threats that if Antigone dies, there will be another death that follows.
  • You are insane! Have you lost your senses? You will regret this son!
  • If she dies, there will be another that follows hers. You will never see me again! You are an embarrassment.
  • Antigone will die of starvation!
  • Creon says he will let Ismene go, but he will still lock Antigone up in a cave to starve.
  • I will let Ismene go to live, but I will wall Antigone up alive in a cave!
  • Goodbye father!
  • Creon orders Antigone to be brought out and she begs for her life. She is upset with Creon and says that Thebes is run by fools that are too prideful.
  • I cannot be taken! My death will be noble! This place of Thebes is ruled by cowards!
  • You will be taken away! You are protesting too much, and you must go! Take her to her tomb!
  • She will pay for what she has done.
  • Tiresias comes to tell Creon about the terrifying prophet he has for Creon. He explains that Creon has doomed Thebes.
  • "Corpse for corpse, flesh of your own flesh... dead deniled the grave" (Sophocles v. 76-80).
  • Creon, I have a prophet for you, listen. You have brought calamity upon us! You are compulsive!
  • Go on...
  • Tiresias warns Creon that the Gods are angry with Creon because he decided to punish Antigone for burying Polynieces. Tiresias tells Creon that they will punish him with the death of Haimon, so in panick, Creon does as Tiresias says and goes to free Antigone.
  • The Gods are furious with you! They will punish you for the acts you have committed! They believe that Polyneices deserves a burial! They will punish you by the death of your own son! Go now and free Antigone!
  • Leave Tiresias, you all are power hungry! Go immediately!
  • I am worried!
