  • King Acrisius was told that his daughter's son would kill him. To prevent this from happening Danaë and her son, Perseus, were placed in a chest and set adrift on the sea.
  • Dictys, the one who took them in after finding them in the sea, had a brother named Polydectes who feared Perseus. So he convinced him into doing great deeds and becoming a hero by killing Gorgon, Medusa.
  • With the help of many gods, Perseus got the strength to and determination to go find Medusa. After finding her he killed her before her two other sisters attacked Perseus and put her chopped head in a leather bag as proof.
