Storyboard Text

  • It doesn’t matter if it’s an even or odd amount of days, because out of all the days in the year, on July 31st, Juliet will be fourteen. Juliet and Susan, God bless her soul and let her rest in peace, were born on the same day. Susan has died and is with God now. She was too good for me anyway, but like I said before, Juliet will be fourteen on July 31st. It's been eleven years since the earthquake, you remember the earthquake right? Well anyway, you didn’t have to tell me twice to get out of there. By that time she was able to waddle and run around, and I remember because she got a cut the day before after a fall. My husband had picked her up and told her that as she would get older and smarter to fall backwards, instead of forward. She instantly stopped crying and replied yes to him. I’ll never forget it.
  • Yes? I don’t know why she isn't here. I told her to come. Where is she?
  • Nurse? Where’s my daughter? Find her and tell her to come here right now.
  • JULIET! Your mom...
  • I don't know. You tell me.
  • What do want? Who’s calling me? Hey mom… What do you want?
  • Nurse may I have a word alone with my daughter privately? On second thought, Nurse you can stay and listen in on our secrets, you do know how young my daughter is right? She’s not even fourteen yet
  • A couple weeks?
  • Yes ma’am, it’s just funny that the baby stopped crying and said “Yes.” I just know she had a big bump on her forehead. It was a painful bruise and she was crying in severe pain. My husband agreed.
  • Ok, you can shut up now.
  • Nurse, please stop now!
  • Ok, I'm done talking. I pray that God chooses you to receive his grace. You are the cutest baby I have ever nursed, if I live long enough to see you grow up and get married all my dreams will be true. Great Honor? If I weren't your only nurse, I would think that you were fed wisdom from the breast you were sucking.
  • Well marriage is exactly what I wanted to talk about, what are your thoughts on marriage.
  • Well of course, right down to the hour. How much you wanna bet she’s fourteen? How many more days until August 1st?
  • Marriage is great honor but it is something I do not dream of.
