The doctor had left and their horrified parents found out the horrific truth of her acute congestion. It was not acute congestion at all it was blindness and deafness. The years went on and we jump to about 6 years after and they knew she needed a doctor they've been searching for a long time but no luck. They called an Irish girl to tutor Helen (they girl) .
Annie Sullivan was her name she was also partially blind, Kate (Helen's mother) at first site did not trust her much. Annie felt the same way about James. James was a very sarcastic boy he liked to make sly comments, he was Helen half brother. After this they went home and Annie got situated and met Helen.
It's just a napkin
Lunch came and all was swell until Annie noticed that Helen was not eating from her plate, but from others. She knew this had to change. When Helen didn't get her way she had tantrums, Annie did not know this. So Helen fought back but Annie wouldn't tolerate this behavior and Helen then obeyed. Then Helen knew she wasn't going to be spoiled any more. A couple of days past and Annie decided to bring Helen with her to an isolated place for a week so she could teach her words and obedience.
Helen was then drove along around their home to act as being far away and brought to a garden house near the Keller's home (her family) so they wouldn't interfere , but could see her every day. Annie had a plan and was determined to get Helen to understand words. Captain Keller and Kate where unsure of Annie's decisions. The next week when the Keller's met their daughter it felt like a different person she was so proper compared to her animalistic self before. So she was brought home and this is when our next scene starts.
And so they went back to the house ready for a good dinner with the whole family when Helen drops her napkin. Annie picks it up. She slowly testily drops it again. Annie sees that it is intentional waits a second and picks it up and tucks it into her dress. Helen then grabs the fork on the table and throws it on the floor full of glee. James then announced his opinion "She's trying to test us" He usually doesn't test his fathers ability to listen to him but he did. He was right Helen was trying to Test them. On went the fight, This goes on till our next scene.
The fight ended with the room a mess and everything broken, except an empty pitcher. So Annie made Helen walk outside and fill the pitcher at the pump. As she pumped the pump water came out and passed through Helens hand. Annie spelt water into Helens hand with sign language, she thought for a second then understood words have a meaning they mean an object. With great force Helen said wah-wah in attempt to say water. then Annie knew she understood, and she had so much more to learn, but for now we still have to eat lunch.
