Fred Hollows Part 2
By sposar, Updated
This storyboard does not have a description.
Fred traveled to many remote aboriginal settlements. He was shocked when he became aware of some of the serious health issues these people faced such as trachoma and other eye diseases. So he began his life's work...
'When I've seen an opportunity, I haven't sat down and called a committee meeting...I've gone and done it.'
Fred's 'can do' attitude inspired many other doctors to volunteer their time to help attack eye diseases in Indigenous Australians. This program was known as the 'National Trachoma and Eye Health Program.'
