  • WOW!
  • 1928
  • I showed that bacteria can get DNA through a process called transformation. That would prove that DNA isn't simple.
  • 1944
  • DNA is the substance that causes bacterial transformation. I proved this in an era when it had been widely believed that it was proteins that served the function of carrying genetic information (with the very word protein itself coined to indicate a belief that its function was primary).
  • Late 1940s
  • They think that C=T and that G=A. I've proven that A=T and that C=G!
  • 1952
  • We were cautious in their interpretation, previous, contemporaneous, and subsequent discoveries all served to prove that DNA is the hereditary material.
  • 1953
  • We determined the structure of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). I, Rosalind Franklin was the first to take a picture of the DNA using x-rays. Called it Photo 51. Us, Watson and Crick, made the first DNA model.
