  • Andrew Jackson led U.S forces into battle against the Creeks, forcing them to give up their land.

  • The British attacked Washington, D.C. They burned and destroyed everything connected to the government.
  • American and British representatives met in Ghent, Belgium, to sign a peace treaty.
  • Hundreds of British soldiers were killed as the Americans came out with a decisive victory.
