  • The setting of the story is on Ship-Trap. Rainsford, who is the protagonist, fell of a boat and ends up swimming to Ship-Trap Island. This is where he meets the antagonist General Zaroff.
  • Climax
  • NO!!!!!!!
  • The conflict of the story is that Rainsford is being hunted by General Zaroff.
  • Falling Action
  • "I see. Splendid! One of us is to furnish a repast for the hounds. The other will sleep in this very Excellent bed..."
  • "I am still a beast at bay. Get ready, General Zaroff."
  • The rising action includes the three traps that Rainsford uses which includes the Maylana Man- Trap, the Tiger pit trap, and the spring strap the kills General Zaroff's accomplice, Ivan. After he kills Ivan the dogs are released.
  • Resolution
  • This is the bed sleep I've ever had.
  • The climax of the story is when Rainsford jumps off a cliff to get away form General Zaroff's dogs.
  • The falling action is after Rainsford jumped off the cliff he ends up in General Zaroff's bedroom.
  • The resolution is Rainsford survives the hunt however in the end General Zaroff does not survive.
