  • Conflict
  • Main Character and Trait
  • Secondary Character and Trait
  • Man vs. Nature. Hazel Grace is suffering from cancer. She battles everyday.
  • Setting
  • Hazel Grace Lancaster is a very brave girl. She has a type of cancer that effects the way she breathes. One night she couldn't breathe at all. She had to be rushed to the hospital. Even though she has cancer it doesn't stop her from living every day of her life the same way a regular girl would, which means she is very strong.
  • Favorite Part
  • Augustus Waters is the secondary character in this book. (Also known as Hazels boyfriend). He is very kind and caring. Augustus also has cancer. His leg had to be removed in surgery. When Augustus met Hazel for the first time he immediately fell in love. As their relationship grew Hazel and Augustus went on vacation together to Amsterdam. To get to this vacation Augustus used his dying wish to go to a place that made Hazel happy.
  • Least Favorite Part
  • The Support group church is where Hazel and Augustus first met. If either Augustus or Hazel did not go to support group that day the whole story of their lives wouldn't have been the same.
  • My favorite part of the book is when Augustus and Hazel go to Amsterdam together. They share a special moment at a restaurant. It is a very special part of the book. They make so many happy memories there.
  • My least favorite part of the book is when Hazel and Augustus meet Peter Van Houten in real life at Amsterdam. Hazel and Augustus were so happy to meet him at first because his book is a big inspiration to them. All of the letters the Peter wrote to Hazel made her so happy and when she met him in real life he was really mean and disrespectful. I felt bad for her.
