Storyboard Text

  • Hello my name is Mr. Matter and I come in all of these forms.
  • Oh really? Please tell me more!
  • GRAMS
  • What is mass?
  • Smaller weight = less gravity.
  • Larger weight = more gravity.
  • Matter is anything that has mass and volume. That means, it is all living things as well as non-living things.
  • Volume plays a big part in matter also.
  • l x w x h = Volume
  • Mass is the amount of matter in an object and is measured in grams. All of the stuff that is inside of your body makes up your mass.
  • That is right!
  • Hmmm... Doesn't density have something to do with mass and volume?
  • Mass always stays the same, however, weight does not. Since weight is the gravitational force on an object, it changes when gravity does. For example your weight is different on the moon than on Earth.
  • I am so going to ace my science test on matter today!
  • Volume is the amount of space an object takes up. It is measured in cubic cm., and mL.
  • Density is the ratio of mass to volume. It can be found by doing the math equation m/v.
  • The next day...
