  • Valley of Ashes
  • Gatsbys House
  • The green light in chapter 1 represents Gatsbys hope to get back with Daisy, and it is an important symbol because the whole story was about Gatsby trying to win back Daisy.
  • Hydroplane
  • The Valley of ashes in chapter 2 represents hell, death, and decay it is and it is an important symbol in the story because many bad events take place in the Valley of Ashes.
  •                         Gatsbys Car                          
  • In chapter 3 Gatsbys house represents where his mind is at when he was getting Daisy back there were these parties, but as soon as he started to loose Daisy his house was a mess.
  • Daisy and Gatsby
  • The hydroplane to me represents Gatsby and nicks odd relationship they loved each other they were good friends, and the hydroplane is where they first hung out, and found put a little more about each other.
  • In chapter 7 Myrtle is hit and killed with Gatsbys car, but it was Daisy that was driving this is an important symbol because it shows Daisys true colors, and this just opens so much trouble.
  • In chapter 8 we find out that Daisy does not care for anyone else, but herself she only cares about the money, and Gatsby knows about it, but he is so in love with her he ignores it.
