There was once a banker, who gathered four people to talk about which of the following is better, the death sentence, or life in prison. They all gave their opinion.
The banker made a bet to the man, that if a prisoner survived fifteen years in prison, he would be offered two million dollars.
The prisoner was sent to prison, where he would take on the challenge. The prison cell was a cool, dry place with not much excitement.
At first the prisoner was bored, and upset about the choice he made, there was nothing inside the cell, and he was not allowed to leave. However, the prisoner was aware of "the bet" and why everything was happening.
He decided to make the most of it. He chose to read books to keep his intelligence, and he played musical instruments such as the piano for entertainment.
The prisoner also wrote letters to his family and friends, to keep touch with them and to check in to see how everyone has been doing.
