  • Foursquare Church in California
  • Hello. My name is Karina, and these are my parents, Randy and Karen.
  • Surfer's Paradise, Queensland, Australia - Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
  • G'day, my name is Wally! I realize I am actually a large rabbit, but in this case I represent a kangaroo.
  • While we were at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, I was allowed to pet, and feed leaves to, kangaroos, and koala bears. Currumbin is still my favorite zoo to this day!
  • Johannesburg Area, South Africa
  • All of the fascinating, bright, colorful art that I saw while we were in South Africa, like the local art/craftsmanship in Australia, also had a lasting impact on me artistically.
  • The people, natural landscapes, and variety of exotic animals I was able to spend time around, in both Australia and South Africa, was very artistically inspiring
  • I always loved going to the Banning Foursquare Church with my parents when we were home in the U.S.; and I remember being amazed by the way the light looked when it shone through the stained glass windows inside the church.
  • Tavira, (Algarve Region), Portugal
  • Hmmm, I wonder what shade of read I should dye my hair next..... (My hair was often dyed bright red when I was a teenager.
  • We lived in Surfer's Paradise, Queensland, Australia, in the Gold Coast area, for a while when I was 5. We saw many wonderful places while we were in Australia, but one of my favorite places we visited was the beautiful Currumbin Wild Life Sanctuary, where we saw kangaroos, koalas, and tiny (as well as cranky) Tasmanian-devils, along with many other animals.
  • Dublin, Ireland
  • Hi there! We're Randy and Karen, Karina's Parents.
  • When I was 7 we lived in South Africa, where we saw many fascinating locations, and had many unique experiences. While there we visited a place that had just opened a few hours drive from Jo-burg, called The Palace of The Lost City at Sun City - South Africa, for a few days. The architecture and natural environment surrounding it were breathtaking, and we were able to go on a safari tour/drive around the area, where we saw several animals, including Rhino's and Elephants.
  • Apple Orchards in North Georgia
  • When I was 14 we moved to Tavira, which is in the Algarve region of Portugal. That was where/when my interest in the arts began to grow, becoming more than a slight hobby/ or interest. Portugal was inspiring, with it's beautiful historic architecture, old churches/cathedrals, ancient stone bridges built by the Romans, intricate and colorful mosaics/tilework, ceramics and pottery (all hand-painted and handcrafted by local artisans), azure ocean waters, and pristine beaches.
  • A few years ago I went to Ireland for a week with my family. I have always wanted to spend some time there, and it was an exquisitely lovely, and truly inspiring place; which I want to visit again as soon as I can. It is one of God's masterpieces, we were able to see the rugged Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle (where we climbed to the top, and kissed the Blarney stone), and Trinity College Library in Dublin (where we saw The illuminated manuscript pages of "The Book Of Kells").
  • Many of the buildings were bright and colorful, just like the natural beauty around them. I took lots of pictures.
  • We have discovered a beautiful, area just north of Atlanta, Georgia, at the beginning of the Appalachian Mountains, that we really love, and have decided we want to move to. It just feels like home there to me, as I have always loved the mountains, and living in more rural areas, surrounded by the beauty of God's Creation. One of my favorite things to do, when I get the chance, is to pick fruit in an orchard. I find it to be a very peaceful and inspiring experience.
  • Brimble Ridge - U-Pick Orchards
  • North Georgia Has several of these U-Pick Orchards, so I will be able to pick some fresh apples this Fall!
