A new, bright girl at her new middle school in America faces her tough problems making friends. In her home country India, everybody understood her. But with bullies lurking around, it was hard to become friends. Finally, she catches a young girl who speaks French and skipped two grades reading in a forbidden athlete section. These two oddballs got along beautifully, not caring about what others said. When a boy (in the same situation) faced the same issues, the story repeats itself.
