  • As Dr. Ed speaks, re remembers all the wonderful works done unto him by this wonderful neighbor
  • You have a bad heart. You should ease up on the heavy labor and help your wife around the house and farm. And I'd tell you to lay off the coffee, but no man has ever listened to that before.
  • I don't want to do woman's work! but if you say so...
  • Rosicky goes home, after looking at the cemetery near his home and buying candy and fabric for his wife, tells her the news
  • My heart ain't so good as it used to be
  • When she gets home, she talks to the boys, and her husband finally gives up...He soon peruses tailoring and carpentry in the house.
  • How bad is his heart really?
  • It's pretty bad, he MUST not do such hard labor.
  • Rosicky is fearful his son will go to the city for a job to appease his wife, so he plans a way for them to have a sort of "date" night.
  • Go out to the city! Take my car! I'll even do the dishes and clean the kitchen.
  • I'm worried about my crops! I remember when I was a boy in London and stole a goose then found a way to replace it!
  • But when the heat killed the crops that one 4th of July, you didn't fret!
  • Why don't you all come to my house for New Years!
  • Later Polly and Rudolph take Rosicky home and puts in in bed...The next morning though, he passes away.
  • FATHER!
