Storyboard Text

  • Iago and Roderigo both despise Othello for their own personal reasons. They discuss of a plan to get rid of Othello.
  • Othello, your going on another ship!
  • They then tell a Venetian Senator that his daughter, Desdemona was eloping, and sleeping with Othello.
  • He didn't believe them until he saw Desdemona was missing. He vowed to kill Othello. Roderigo offered to lead the senator to where Othello was hiding.
  • When they found Othello, they brought him to court. There, Desdemona appeared, claiming she loved Othello. Her dad, wanting her to be happy more than anything else, gave Othello his blessing.
  • Othello and Desdemona headed to Cyprus to battle the Turks. Cassio, Othello's second in command came along as well.
  • They arrive at Cyprus and the Turkish fleet is destroyed by a storm. Iago devises a new plan to get rid of Othello. He first gets Cassio drunk. Cassio then gets into a fight.
  • Othello catches Cassio and relieves him of his duties.
  • Cassio convinces Desdemona to try and talk to Othello about the incident. As a result, they begin to hang around each other more often, as friends.
  • Iago convinces Othello that Desdemona may be cheating on him with Cassio. Othello is doubtful, as he needs proof.
  • Tired, Othello heads towards his quarters. Desdemona, sensing her husband is unwell offers him her handkerchief. He refuses, pushing it away, resulting in it falling to the ground. Iago's wife finds it and brings it home to her husband whom takes it with glee.
  • Othello catches Iago and Cassio talking fondly of Bianca. Othello mistakens Bianca for Desdemona. Bianca then appears and gives Cassio Desdemona's handkerchief.
  • Othello vows to kill Desdemona and Iago promises to kill Cassio.
  • Roderigo attacked Cassio but was killed by Iago. Cassio was badly wounded but lived.
  • Othello refused to listen to Desdemona's cries of innocence and suffocated her to death with a pillow.
  • Emilia entered the quarters and discovered what had happened. She screams, resulting in Iago, and a few others to converge on the sleeping quarter.
  • Othello finds out that Iago had manipulated him all along because Emilia revealed she gave Iago the handkerchief that she had found on the floor. Iago then kills Emilia and bolts it. He was caught. Othello then stabs Iago, and then stabs himself. Iago lives and Othello dies.
