Storyboard for Music in Media Semester 2 CAT 3
1:00-1:26: The alien tries getting the person out the window but fails to do so causing the man to keep hitting his head against the wall.
To support the scene, we can play chords in staccato to represent the sound of when he hits his head multiple times.
1:27-1:37: In this scene, the alien presses a particular lever and causes rock music to be played. To show the upbeat and liveliness of the music, we can play a fun and jazzy melody on the piano and adding rhythmic drum and electric guitar loops for effect.
1:38-2:03: This scene shows the alien trainee becoming more and more puzzled. To show the anxiousness of the alien and the tense environment, we can play a melody in a minor key.
2:04-2:24: The alien becomes stressed out and starts bashing the controls. To make the music to match that scene, we can randomly hit the notes on the keyboard to create the effect
2:25-2:45: This is the scene where the alien finally works out how to get the person out of the house and we can see the man going through the window and up towards the spaceship before bashing into the tree. We can play an ascending scale, stopping when he gets stuck in the window, and continuing on again. When he crashes into the tree, we can play a big chord on the piano loudly with staccato. This would replicate the scene well.
2:50-3:00: This is the part where the alien gets the man out of the tree with control levers and he starts heading towards and into the spaceship. To represent this scene, we can continue the ascending scale whilst having heroic music to show the success of the alien.
