The External conflict in this story is that the lovely Nymph Calypso won't let Odysseus leave her island.
Stay with me forever Odysseus
Am I not pretty enough? Is it that your wife Penelope is prettier than I? I am immortal and will stay beautiful forever while she will wither up, growing old and die.
Calypso added onto the external conflict by complaining to Odysseus since he wanted to leave
That may be so but I long for Ithaca
Finally Calypso solved the conflict by setting Odysseus free. She built him a raft and forth they went to Ithaca.
