  • Before the war the Japanese faced discrimination and were blamed for stealing Canadian jobs.
  • You are stealing our jobs!
  • Vancouver Sun
  • CANADA IS AT WAR!
  • JAPANESE ATTACK PEARL HARBOR
  • You have to leave your home, you can bring one suitcase with you of any belongings you want to keep
  • Families are separated as they are forced into internment camps.
  • I'm hungry
  • When can we go home?
  • Where's Dad?
  • Once the war is over, the Canadian government sent many Japanese back to Japan considering them to be enemies.
  • Mom, why can't we stay?
  • We don't have anywhere to live and they don't want us here.
  • The Canadian government would like to apologize sincerely for what has happened to you. We hope some money will help to make up for everything.
