Alexander finds out about Thebes revolt.
There is NO way that I would even consider abandoning our control of Greece!

FOLLOW ME MEN, TO THEBES! WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!!
I promise no harm shall come to you as long as you bring me Phoenix and Prothytes!
Alexander is advised by the generals that he should abandon Greece but he does not agree.
Alexander leads his army of men 250 miles in 13 days, triumphantly sneaking up on the unaware city of Thebes.
A rumor went around that Alex was killed so no one was prepared for when he and his army arrived. Phoenix and Prothytes were the rebel leaders in Thebes.
