•Babies produce similar responses to objects and people •Generally do not prefer specific people to others •They rapidly learn to discriminate familiar people from unfamiliar people
•Babies become more social able and can tell people apart •They show a preference for people rather than inanimate objects •Generally do not show fear of strangers or separation anxiety •They are relatively comforted by anyone and do not show a strong preference for specific people yet, their attachment behaviour is said to be indiscriminate because it is not significantly different for any one person
•Two changes happen around 7 months of age •The babies show separation anxiety and stranger anxiety. •Formed a specific and Primary attachment to one particular individual (the person who shows most sensitivity to their signals). •Use familiar adults as secure base
