The Story of Mulan - Chinese Legend

Long, long ago, there lived a girl named Mulan and her father, a retired general, who lived in a village in China.
One day, warriors came to Mulan's village, telling them news of a coming war and that the government required one man from ever family to fight and serve their country.
Of course, this news worried Mulan as her father was the only man from her family who who was eligible to fight but he was not strong enough to survive.
So Mulan, being unable to watch her father die in battle, decided to take his place, disguised herself as a boy and then reported for duty.
The next day, Mulan's father went to report for duty and was surprised to hear that they didn't need him. Confused, he went home where he saw that his armor and Mulan were both missing.
Still disguised as a boy, Mulan fought bravely for her country and became a well-known and respected warrior. Even the Emperor himself gave her a reward for her courage after the war was won.
He's a girl...?
Mulan's parents were overjoyed when Mulan came home and revealed her true identity. She was a true hero and would remain so for hundreds or years.
