The night before the first day of school I layed in my bed thinking about the first day of school. I stayed up thinking about the first day of school. How would I make friends? Will people like me? Is what I thought.
The next morning my cousin Trese picked me up from my house along with her son Tri and our cousin. As we rode in the car i thought about what classes i would have for lunch at school. We all were going to attend Nathan Hale Magnet Middle school. I was the youngest, I was going into 6th grade and my Tri was going into 7th grade.
As we pulled up to the school i looked at the building and my heart dropped. I checked my backpack one last time to make sure i had all of my school supplies. As I got out the car i slowly walked up the stairs looking at my new school. I walked in the school building there were so many people and I got scared.
I got to my first class and it wasn't that many kids. We all introduced ourselves and everyone talked weird. I had an accent because I had just came back from Memphis. I introduced myself and i noticed that I am very different from everyone else.
Later during the day it was time for lunch. By then i had friends and i met plenty of people that liked me for who i am. At lunch I didn't eat because the food didn't look good. I laughed and made many more friends.
The bell rung and i went to my locker to get my backpack. As i walked out of the school, i said bye to all of my new friends and went to my mom's car. My mom asked "how was school?" I told her "it was AWESOME." I couldn't wait to go back to school the next day.
