Lizzy, Just ate a delicious fruit tart. Inside her mouth he teeth are grinding the food and her tongue just sent down her chewed food through the Esophagus for the rest of the digestion process.
After Lizzy has her food in her stomach, her stomach glands are releasing acids to break down her food even further. Her stomach is not hurt by the acid because of her stomach's wall which is made of mucus. The stomach then moves it to the small intestine.
Now the substance is in the small intestine. Along the walls of the small intestine are villi, which collect the nutrients from the substance. Now It is transferred to the large intestine. The large intestine extracts all of the moisture from the former food. After this stage you will have feces, to get rid of.
Lizzy drank a few bottles of Gatorade and now the fluid is emptied into the kidneys. The Kidneys are filtering nutrients, salts, and more out of the liquid. From there they are transferred from the kidneys to the bladder by the Ureter.
Now the liquid she drank is in the bladder. The bladder holds the urine before it is released. Sphincters control when the balder is to be released or not based on the brain signals. When it is time to go, The Urethra is the last part where the liquid comes out of the body as urine.
