  • Moving to Noblesville, IN
  • The first significant event to happen in my life was moving to Noblesville, IN when I was seven. This impacted my life immensely since this is my current home and it is where I have made many of my best friends and where I have spent majority of my life.
  • Joining the track team
  • The second most significant event in my life was joining the track team in eighth grade. This sport affected my life for five years. Although track was extremely difficult and most days I dreaded going, it taught me a lot about myself. I learned to work with a team and support others. I also learned to push myself to the limits and reach goals that I set for myself.
  • Becoming a student athletic trainer
  • All throughout high school I was a student athletic trainer of the football team. This experience was significant not only for the medical knowledge I gained, but also because of the personal and professional relationships that were fostered. All of my best friends that I have today are people that I met through training, they have all impacted my life in positive ways.
  • Getting my drivers license
  • When I first gained possession of my drivers license was an immensely significant event. I gained freedom, which is something I had lacked for so long. I could leave whenever I wanted and I didn't have to rely on my parents to take me places or pick me up which was such a good feeling.
  • Taking the school trip to Spain and Italy
  • Taking the school trip to Spain and Italy the summer before my senior year was a life changing event. I got to experience different cultures and learned rich history. This trip really widen my perspectives and formed my love for history. The reason I'm majoring in Social Studies education is because of this trip and how fascinated with the history I was.
  • Going to Indiana University
  • Leaving for college was a very important event that tested my limits. It put me out of my comfort zone, especially since my friends and I all are attending different colleges. I had to make new friends and become completely self-sufficient. I'm still growing and developing, but I feel as though college has allowed me to get to know myself so much better.
