  • NO!!!!! I don't want to compact and turn into a sedimentary rock
  • This is Bassie. He is Basalt. There are many types of rocks and Bassie is an igneous rock. Here's how Bassie became an igneous rock again.
  • A huge tidal wave rushed in and caught Bassie by suprise. It weather and erode Bassie. Bassie broke into a bunch of sediments!
  • Now there were little Bassie's everywhere! After a hundred years or so he started to go through the process of compaction and cementaion. That means Bassie will turn into a sedimentary rock.
  • Bassie is officialy a sedimentary rock. She is sliding deep under ground now. It's 100 years later and Bassie is feeling a lot of heat and pressure on him. Bassie realized that he was slowly turning to a metamorphic rock!
  • Now that Bassie is a metamorphic rock he will start melting into magma. After a couple years the magma has cooled and Bassie is and igneous rock again.
  • Bassie will now start his life over.
