Prince Theseus knew the children had to be sent but knew it was wrong so he went as the 7th son of Athens to kill the minotaur.
why do we send them?
But how will you kill the minotaur?
Then Good luck. I shall look out for you every day
Don't worry Father, the Gods will help me
When Theseus and the others arrived on Crete they were greeted by Princess Ariadne Minos. King Minos mocked Theseus but Princess Ariadne had fallen in love with Theseus.
Princess Ariadne wanted to help Theseus so she gave him a sword to slay the minotaur and a ball of string to find his way out.
Once in the Labyrinth, Theseus tied one end of the ball of string to the door and took it with him. He soon found the Minotaur. There was a big fight and Theseus killed the Minotaur
