  • "So you think I'm insane, Ha, a mad man does not plan."
  • Conflict
  • I told myself I should've done this! Why do I listen to myself?
  • Rising Action
  • I will soon have that eye, that eye that "Vulture eye".
  • The people in this story include the narrator, police officers, the old man, and the neighbor. The narrator introduces himself. Also, he tries to convince you he's sane.
  • Climax
  • I'm going to make you suffer old man!
  • The conflict is man vs. self because he races himself against time. Also, his moods can switch instantly causing him to fight against himself.
  • Rising Action
  • Anybody home? We got a report from your neighbor.
  • The narrator has an obsession for the old man's eye. The narrator describes the eye as a "Vulture eye", he also plans to kill the old man.
  • Resolution
  • The narrator kills the old man on the eight night that he had been watching him. The old man dies because of suffocation.
  • The narrator puts the old man's body into a bathtub covered with plastic, he cuts cuts off the old man's limbs, such as the head, then the arms, then the legs. Then he washes away the evidence, and throws the plastic away. Soon after, the police came to the house because the neighbor reported something.
  • The narrator sits where he has buried the old man, and soon becomes anxious for the police to leave. The narrator hears a beating, a beating like the old man's heart. This shows that his heart, is a race against time and that he has anxiety.
  • This ticking is not in my head! Everyone get out... AHHHHH
