The colonists wanted the Bill of Rights to protect their freedom. They were call Anti-Federalists because they did not agree with the constitution and wanted the Bill of Rights added. The anti-feds wanted to be able to have Freedom of speech, Freedom of press, Freedom of petition and more. They were not going to let the govenerment over rule them.
Valley Forge was a horrible situation. The troops hadn't been home in a very long time and all they wanted was to go home. Members of congress started not trusting Washington and soliders where leaving the army. " There were no beds, just straw on mud floor. Cold was one problem: smoke was another."
