Class, we are going to be doing some exam review today!
Okay, when are algebraic expressions equivalent?
Algebraic expression are equivalent if, the most simplified form of both functions are the same and the graphs are exactly the same.
Next question, what is the first step in factoring.
The first step is always to find the greatest common factor.
Great job! Let's do exponent rules next. What is the rule when you divide a power by a power?
First, the base must be the same. If they are you subtract the denominators exponent from the numerators.
Perfect, just a reminder to never divide the bases. Okay so next, who can tell me what the tangent identity is?
It's tan θ equals sin θ over cos θ.
Final question. How do you find the k value for a sine or cos function?
To find the k value, you divide 360 by the period of the function.
