An innovative app that ensures the independence of those with visual impairments.
Video of a elderly person or someone struggling to see nutrition facts on the back of a can of food. Someone comes over to show them how the V.A.S.A app works.
Our head coder Ethan and his team used MIT app Inventor in order to create our app with text to speech capabilities.

Our app prototype allows the visually impaired user to type in the food they plan on purchasing. And listen as the app reads the nutritional facts back to the user. It's that simple!
