When emigrants first came to america they discovered the american indians these early people believed the Indian culture could use improvements.
The Spaniards decided to assimilate Indians and convert them to Christianity. Some Indians converted to be more liked however most Indians remained in their own religion.
Over the years Indians were pushed out by settlers and some were killed or put to work as slaves. Until finally Thomas Jefferson made the indian removal act. This removal pushed the Indians away from the colonies and gave them an allotment of land.
