Around 2500 BC, there was a king in ancient Egypt. He was a good and powerful king.
He won many battles from his enemies; he obtained gold and silver. He also was very rich in agriculture and trade.
One day the king died of natural causes. Before the king died he asked farmers, slaves, and scribes to build a pyramid for the king on his way to the afterlife.
Inside the pryamid, the king laid in a sarcophagus. Around the sarcophagus was things that the Egyptians thought were needed in the afterlife.
Another kingdom decided to take over the king's kingdom soon after his death.
In 1800 BC, the king's kingdom was in pieces, but his history is still standing. Many archeologists have started to understand how ancient Egyptians have lived today thousands of years ago.
