  • NO!!!!!!
  • How it all started: People were fighting over issues like Federalism, immigration, slavery, rights, and above all , money. Santa Anna arrived at San Antonio with his army ready to fight.
  • Who built it and why was this location chosen: The Alamo was built by Spanish Franciscan friars in order to convert Indians to Christianity ;on the contrary, this location was chosen because that was where many soldiers of the army were located, and that where Santa Anna launched the assault on Texas.
  • How long did the battle last and who were the leaders: The battle lasted from February 23rd to March 6th allowing plenty of time for the great number of casualties. William B. Travis, James Bowie, and Santa Anna were the leaders of the forces.
  • Results: Mexico won the battle but had a large amount of losses Mexico lost 400-600 men while Texas only lost 182-257 men. Going by the stats of losses it would seem that Texas won with great victory; however, the battle turned out otherwise.
  • Did they do anything to remember the Alamo: A great number of song writers have been inspired by the Alamo and have made the phrase "Remember the Alamo".
  • How did the battle affect others and the Alamo itself: The battle was left in ruins after the battle and the inside was basically crumbling to the ground before it was renovated.
