  • The unconditioned stimulus would be doing my daily homework assignments to prevent myself from failing another test.
  • Well maybe if you didn't Netflix all the time
  • You should consider making a study plan
  • I can't believe I failed this test!
  • The unconditioned response would be going to the library so that I will not be tempted to go on Netflix and forget to do my homework and study. There is no reward.
  • I need to do better in my class but I can't seem to focus
  • Then why are you here and not studying?
  • Now that I'm here at the library I can make my list of work.
  • The US becomes conditioned by me doing my daily hw assignments and studying everyday. The daily reward becomes being able to watch Netflix when I finish.
  • Creating my list of assignments to complete in order to watch an episode on Netflix in order to achieve short term immediate reinforcement.
  • I've finished my whole list. Now for an episode of my favorite show!
  • By changing the environment the long term, delayed reinforcement can be achieved. The CS becomes doing hw and studying. The reinforcement becomes using Netflix at home.
