The Battle Of Hastings 1066
The Black Death
In 1066 there was a big battle for who would rule Brittan. At the end of the battle the Normans won so William the Conquer became king of England.
There were many types of castles like the Motte and Baily castle they were made out of wood so they were easy and quick to build they were built on a hill this is good because you could see your enemy's coming.
In around 1348 the Black Death came to England. It was spread by fleas and rats. People had many different ways of trying to cure it like shaving a chickens bum and rubbing it on your face. They also tried to pop their bubons but this only worked if they popped natueraly many people died
Religion was very important to people. the church had a lot of power they used to blackmailing people in to being good by saying they would go to hell if they did something wrong.
Many people went on them because they would be promised land and to go to haven.
