Storyboard Text

  • Amy tells her mom about being bullied. She tells her about Tasha and Jasmine bullying her.
  • "It'll be okay honey, I can find you a counselor to talk to. She'll help you, trust me. I'll tell the principal about the girls who are bullying you."
  • At the counselor's office...
  • "These girls have been bullying me for a while, and I don't know what to do. I'm scared to speak out."
  • "I know some people may not take this seriously, but you have depression. About 80% of people who get help recover from it. It affects as many as 1 in 8 teens."
  • "Anytime, Amy. Your mom has my contact information and knows what to do if you need help again. I'm so glad you came to me before anything got worse."
  • "Thank you Dr. Halim. This is really helping me. I promise I'll have my mom take me here if I ever feel like this again."
  • Meanwhile, at the principal's office...
  • "Don't worry ,ma'am. Tasha and Jasmine will surely be punished for this, I assure you. I think a two- week suspension will work."
  • "My daughter has been bullied for some time now and it's been really hurting her. She even tried to kill herself. I really think you should do something about this."
  • "Girls, you're each getting a two-week suspension."
  • "NOOOOOO!"
  • Ever since then, Amy never had any more feelings of depression. Talking with her therapist really helped. She got along better in school, made new friends, and Tasha and Jasmine stopped bullying her. All in all, things got a lot better.
