  • This, by his voice, should be a Montague!
  • Romeo griefs the rejection of unreturned love.
  • Climax
  • Alive in triumph—and Mercutio slain!
  • Whereas Juliet contemplates a wedding arrangement made by her parents.
  • Falling Action
  • Tomorrow night look that thou lie alone.
  • Paris is given the opportunity to woo Juliet. However, she mistakenly falls in love with a Montague in disguise, Romeo.
  • Resolution
  • O brother Montague, give me thy hand.
  • After Friar Lawrence joins Romeo and Juliet in marriage, Romeo plans to share the news. Unfortunately, conflict breaks out. Tybalt kills Mercutio, who is then killed by Romeo.
  • Romeo is banished, whereas Lord Capulet is enraged.  Juliet fakes her death by taking a vial provided by Friar Lawrence in the hopes of avoiding the wedding with Paris.
  • Oblivious to this plan, Romeo believes Juliet is dead and takes poison so he could be with her. Juliet realizes that Romeo has killed himself and later stabs herself with a dagger.  Conflict is settled between both families.
