Social, Political, Cultural, and Economic advancement played a key role in the civilizations of India and China
For one, these advancements are the sole reason why civilizations come and go; a measure of how successful of sorts. As seen in history, refusing to accept culture often negatively results in the cease in growth in many fields
While there are exceptions, like how the diffusion of Germanic culture and people into Roman society led to its downfall, generally the adoption of culture has to the advancement of people and technology
There is no doubt that cultural advancement through trade has brought on many things we see in our human culture. The adoption of silk advanced the creation of clothing and fashion, which can be seen today along with many other articles
Physical advancements were not the only thing that people benefited from trade. Ideas were circulated, opening the world up to different points of view regarding religion, politics, philosophy, values, and so much more. This mixing of ideas gives people freedom and more perspective, compared to strictly being intolerable of such ideas.
In the end, the cultural advancements brought on through trade on the Silk Road is responsible for defining the ancient civilizations of China and India, as them being open to these new cultures and ideas allowed them to thrive, just like how we thrive in today's world thanks to the even easier transport and spread of culture and ideas.
