Storyboard Text

  • Will I ever have a son?
  • No, but your daughter will have a son who will kill you. The only way to prevent this is by killing Danae.
  • King Acrisius of Argos had one daughter named Danae. He loved her dearly but he desperately wanted a son. He traveled to Delphi to visit the Oracle.
  • The king stuck Danae in a house underground. One day a shower of gold fell from the sky and revealed itself to be Zeus and he impregnated her. The son's name was Perseus.
  • King Acrisius found out about the son and knew Perseus was destined to kill him so he placed Perseus and Danae in a chest and cast it into the sea.
