  • This tariff is only benefiting the north
  • This tariff is not against the south, but for the good of the union.
  • Souths Perspective
  • Man, this new tariff is so biased, what do we benefit from this high tariff.
  • Yes, dear I do think your right, this high tariff only is beneficial to the manufacturing companies
  • North Perspective
  • Yes, our company can grow due to the British goods are now more expensive than our merchandise
  • This new tariff will help our comapany grow a lot.
  • When Jackson passed a higher tariff for the benefit of the country, but the southerners were not very pleased with this tariff for many reasons.
  • Tariff of Abominations
  • When the south heard of this new tariff, they were in raged because they thought that only manufacturing companies can make a profit.
  • South's Nullification
  • We don't accept this!
  • Contrary to the southerners, the northerners were happy about this new tariff, because it kept money in the U.S. economy, and also helped compete with Britain.
  • Jackson's Force Bill
  • This has gone to far congress allow me to use the military to put this foolishness to rest.
  • Another reason why the southerners didn't like the high tariff was that it seemed that Britain might retaliate to this, and stop buying as much food from the U.S.
  • Buy making less people buy British goods, Britain might buy less of our goods as retaliation.
  • This tariff of abominations, is ruining our business with Britain.
  • When the southerners finally had enough they passed their own law that state that they can nullify any law that's against them, with the nullification act.

  • Even though Jackson was in control of the military, he though he could threaten the southerners buy declaring that he was going to use force, but they caught his bluff and nullifies his forced bill.
  • Why do you need our approval, you are already in control of the military?
