Storyboard Text

  • Let everything I touch turn to gold!
  • I will grant you one wish What is it to be?
  • This is unfortunate...
  • What good is all my gold if I can't eat or drink!
  • Midas had for years insulted Apollo, until Apollo offered Midas a single wish, this wish was a passive(relatively speaking) aggressive gift.
  • On your knees wretch! Do you repent?
  • Because you have been the most foolish of men you shall wear always a pair of donkey ears.
  • Midas touches his daughter no realizing that his touch applies to humans. He regretted this only a moment before he left the garden.
  • The god forgave me , perhaps I should forgive you.
  • Midas attempted to eat, but his "gift" turn his food to gold and had he drank anything it would have turned to gold in his throat killing him.
  • See i'm changing you, too. Look your hair is all gold.
  • Midas repents and all he had touched returned to normal, but Apollo was still angry so he gave Midas donkey ears because of symbolism. The End... wait no we still need to tell how he got rid of the ears.
  • I repent. I will never desire gold again. Pray, revoke this fatal wish.
  • Midas's donkey ears were a well kept secret until his barber who was a gossip(surprise, surprise) revealed his ears to the world. Midas ordered the Barber to be beheaded, until he thought better of it.
  • Apollo revoked the donkey ears after Midas spared the barber. Much later Midas now an old man told his story to his grandchild.
