Matthew Tullar 1st period Title:Cyclopes in the Cave Summary: Odysseus is curious and wants to see a cyclopes up close. So he takes 3 men into a cyclopes cave to see the cyclopes. When the cyclopes finds them he is very mad and kills on of Odysseus's men. The next morning the remaining men escaped and run to their boat on the shore. When they are sailing away from the island odysseus shouts out to the cyclopes and says "My name is Odysseus, king of Ithaca"
Odysseus brings 3 of the best of his men to venture into the cave of a cyclopes.
His men don't agree with his curiosity but they follow him into the cave anyways.
When they get into the cave the Cyclopes is angry that they invaded his home and kills on of the 3 men Odysseus brought into the cave.
The next morning the men make it out of the cyclopes cave.
When they get out of the cave they hurry to find their boat, knowing the cyclopes is near.
When they get to the boat, Odysseus screams out to the cyclopes "my name is Odysseus king of Ithaca" and later become curse by the cyclopes dad, Poseidon.
