Justice Arrow, born Clarence Darrow, was the 5th of 8 children. His mother, a suffragette, and his father, an ex-priest, were unliked and made fun of because of their open-ness and liberal views. This unpopularity because of his views would follow Clarence through life.
One day at school, he noticed someone getting bullied. Furious, he approached
He discovered that as he protected this boy, he summoned, for the first time, his arrow of justice. The bully hurried away.
He was able to finish school and go to college, all the while keeping his parents' words in mind. Whenever school or anything got hard he'd remember, "Lost causes are the only ones worth fighting for."
All throughout school, he continued to summon his bow and arrow and protect those in need. This inspired him to fight for lost causes and become a defense attorney.
In an abandoned building next to his firm in Chicago, he trained and honed his skills.
