OCD, what is this? Am I some psychotic
The psychologist explains the girl's OCD symptoms
OCD, involves obsessive compulsions which interfere with your everyday life. 2 to 3% of the society has OCD with one in every ten people between 18-24 years old having it and 14% of young girls having OCD.
She explains to the girl that in her case she has two types of OCD; contamination fear and a constant need to order things.
There are different ways of managing these compulsions: taking therapy groups, support from family and friends, meditation and relaxation excersizes, keeping a journal of your feelings is good too.
Thanks Mel, I'm sort of in shock from what's just happened, but I'm glad I have you to help me now.
Bye Steph, see you next week!
