Storyboard Text

  • The home screen is representative of the start of the game. The player is put right in control of the character and given instructions on how to control his/her character. Allegory is represented through the things the people say as they leave Wilhelm to die with the rest of the villagers. The camera angle is used to bring the feeling of loneliness to the player's mind.
  • The player has to walk through forest area to further reinforce that he/she is alone and has to find a way to survive. The character will make remarks that he has no recollection of anything in the past, giving the player a sense of objective. The camera angle will showcase the emptiness of the forest. The picture will go to grayscale to give the player a sense of dread.
  • A sword is left next to a tree to give the player a hint that an army has been close to this area.
  • As the player comes upon an abandoned house, the image will blur to cause confusion, just as the character is experiencing as his memory begins coming back. The player will find a journal entry from a northerner soldier that explains where his wife and son have been taken. When Wilhelm's memory begins coming back to him, he passes out. The camera angle will fade to black
  • In the game, the sky begins lightening to show progression of time. Wilhelm will begin seeing shadows that aren't really there, and the player will witness his sanity beginning to go away. Sanity is a mechanic in the game that provides a sort of time crisis that makes the player want Wilhelm to succeed. If the player goes insane before the end of the game can be reached, an alternate ending will happen. The player and character will share a common goal, to find his wife and son.
  • The player will have found a note shining bright that explains where the leader who took his family has held them up. Yet another time crisis is represented, as the note says that they will be leaving with all prisoners in a few days. As the voices from the paper get louder the more Wilhelm realized that he was running out of time.
  • The player will have been fully prepared for the rescue of his family. Wilhelm will need to sneak around and defeat the enemies in order to reach the location where the prisoners are being transferred. Once he arrives he will face the strongest warriors of the mastermind in charge. As you are fighting the man shinning bright will flee with the answers the player needs. As Wilhelm are fighting the player will get medium close shots during the fights that goes on in the story.
